Deadline: Oct. 14, 2017 – 2nd “Artist Spotlight” Solo Art Competition

Fusion Art is pleased to announce that it is now accepting entries for the 2nd Artist Spotlight Solo Art Competition. The gallery created this solo art exhibition opportunity as a means for emerging, mid-level and, even, professional artists to gain more worldwide online exposure.

Artist Spotlight will highlight individual artists who have an overall body of work to showcase.  From this competition, Fusion Art will select up to nine winning artists – one traditional, one digital & photography, and one 3-dimensional artist (if the gallery has received 3-dimensional entries). The winners will receive one-month solo art exhibitions on the Fusion Art website beginning November 1, 2017 and continuing through January 31, 2018.

Artist Spotlight is an open competition. There is no theme and any subject matter and any media are acceptable. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all 2D and 3D artists, over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit.
The deadline to apply is October 14, 2017.

Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed art competitions and exhibitions. Winners receive worldwide exposure, by having their work promoted through Fusion Art’s website, in hundreds of press release announcements, email marketing, online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s social media outlets. The gallery’s objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions and experiences.

Artists who are interested in submitting their artwork for consideration should visit Fusion Art’s website for full competition guidelines: http://fusionartps.com/artist-spotlight-solo-art-competition/.

Details:
We bathe in the beauty of color and spin thousands of words describing the experience that the cone cells transmit to our brain.  In reality, they are not nearly as numerous as our rods, the cells that register light and dark, the black and white of our experience.  Our rods are less articulated in language; fewer words are generated to describe that experience.  Black & white is primal, the underneath, the foundation, of the opulence of color; black & white is where we register motion and, when the cones do not have sufficient light, our rods optimize our survival in the night woods.  Black & White intends to explore this underground of survival and few words.  Our unique, enormous space affords us the opportunity to exhibit really huge work, and we welcome it.

The nude, one of the most recognizable subject matter in the history of art. It is the natural human form that can express so much beauty and emotion, but at the same time be highly controversial. We are seeking artwork based on the nude figure that shows skill and dedication to traditional forms, work that focuses on contemporary ideas, as well as pieces that break the barriers of tradition and push the social and psychological buttons to the next level.
