G25N (Gallery 25N) is happy to have worked in conjunction with Art-competition.net to curate this powerful exhibit of contemporary artists from around the world. Our mission is to help promote established and emerging artists and their art to a worldwide audience. Our audience has developed over the past fourteen years and is composed of art buyers, collectors, architects, commercial developers, interior designers, curators, gallery owners and art lovers.

Deadline: Jan. 11, 2015 – Call to Photographers – Lighthouse Stories and Tales of the Sea

$2250 in Awards – Lighthouse Stories and Tales of the Sea Is a celebration of the great lighthouses and the bays, waterways and seas – coastal and inland – located throughout the world. This exhibit seeks, through photography, to pay homage to the great visual stories, tales, and history of lighthouses and waterways throughout the world.

First national juried photography show at the National Lighthouse Museum in association with the Creative Photographers Guild.  Winning images displayed in the National Lighthouse Museum.  Additional accepted images shown in the Museum and at CPG Gallery on Staten Island, NYC.  This is a fundraising event for The National Lighthouse Museum.

Exhibition Dates: February 7th – through March 7th, 2015

Total Award Amount: $2250 in Cash and Prizes.

ELIGIBILITY: This call for submission is open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in traditional, non-traditional and digital photography. All work must be original in concept, design and execution.

The Creative Photographers Guild invites you to submit images to our international juried competition, Can You See Me Now, challenging you to explore how you define yourself, the people you relate to and the world around you via dreamscape, fairy tale, fantasy world or reality check. The challenge is to take your creative process beyond self-created walls, inhibitions, or restrictions while using any one or a combination of the emerging apps, software, gadgets and technologies available on smartphones & smart devices.

Deadline for submissions: Early Bird 11:59 p.m. PST May 16, 2014. Final Application Deadline 11:59 p.m. PST June 17, 2014.
Gallery Exhibition Dates: July 12 – August 17, 2014 weekends 1-5 pm.

JURORS:
Ann Marie McDonnell is an award winning New York-based artist; photographer, printer, sculptor. Ms. McDonnell is Director of Education at the Alice Austen House Museum in Staten Island, NYC, and holds an MFA from Brooklyn College.
Vincent Verdi is a prolific photographer whose work is shown widely in the New York area.  He is Director of Photography at CUNY-TV, New York, and holds an MFA from Brooklyn College.

ELIGIBILITY: This call for submission is open to all creators working on smartphones and smart devices. All work must be captured and edited on a smartphone or a smart device. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution.

Early Bird Submissions: must be received by midnight May 16: $35 for up to seven (7) images, plus $2 for each additional image.
Submissions between May 16, and 11:59 P.M. EST June 17 : $45 for up to seven (7) images, plus $2 for each additional image. Submissions are on-line only.

►Open to all artists from around the world, 18 yrs of age and older.
►Eligible media : Painting, drawing, photography, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textiles, mixed-media.
►Media not accepted : Giclee prints, video/film and live performance pieces.
►All work must be original, and executed by the artist (preferably made in last two years) No reproductions accepted.
►Digital art must be original artwork that is created exclusively on a computer, and must be signed. Original, limited edition prints of digital art will be permitted, and must be signed and numbered as part of an edition.

►Artists must submit a minimum of 3 images per medium that best represents their work and pay a non-refundable entry fee of 30 euros minimum (via PayPal)
►Each artist can participate in multiple categories, with a maximum of 10 pieces/category (to be submitted separately).
►Dimensions & weight: Maximum size limitations 40″ in or 100cm in any direction, Maximum weight limitations 110lbs / 50 kg).
►EWNS will not accept items for hanging using saw-tooth hooks or inadequate wiring. All framed works must be properly wired for display.
►Publishers, galleries, agents, and collectors may not submit artwork on behalf of artists.
►Entries must be submitted via email.
