All Women 2015 Art Exhibition Now Online Ready to View

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its March 2015 art exhibition “All Women” is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “All Women” and women artists only were asked to submit their best art for the gallery’s February art competition.

The Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery, presents, Transitions, our 2014 Fall Juried Exhibition. This year, we are excited to announce that Lyz Wendland will be our guest juror for this exhibition. We invite artists from all over, working in all mediums, to submit artwork to be juried into this exhibition. There is no particular theme for this show, and please note that artwork does not need to be “Fall related”. This group exhibition will be on display in our back gallery space throughout the month of October.

Lyz Wendland

Lyz Wendland is a mixed media artist, who received her BFA in Drawing, Painting and Art History from Minnesota State University, Mankato and her MFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her artwork has been included in many exhibitions throughout Minnesota and other states, most recently, her solo exhibition “The Suburban Line Project”, that took place in May of this year, at Phipps Center for the Arts, in Hudson, Wisconsin. Wendland received a “Jerome Fibers Grant” in 2009 and an “Excellence in Teaching and Learning Grant” in 2013 through the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Currently, she teaches drawing, painting and design courses at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.

Exhibition Rules

Established and emerging artists, working in any media are encouraged to submit artwork, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, printmaking, design, photography, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, and video as long as the piece follows the guidelines below.

– Both 2D and 3D artwork will be accepted.

– All 2D artwork must be able to hang on the wall, and be no larger then 6′ x 6′ in size.

– All 3D artwork must be able to either sit on a pedestal of 12″ x 12″, or be able to be free standing within our gallery space.

– All artwork must arrive to the gallery ready to hang or display, with proper wiring and hanging systems, or displaying instructions.

– A limit of 2 pieces will be accepted per artist, with an overall submission fee of $15. Payment can be made through Paypal at the end of the submission form. Fees are nonrefundable.

Botanicals 2014 Art Exhibition – Now Online, Ready to View

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its July 2014 art exhibition “Botanicals” is now posted on their website and is ready to be viewed online. The “Botanicals” theme was considered to be any art which depicted flowers, herbs, leaves, plants and related floral subjects for inclusion into this art exhibition. The gallery accepted art on this subject that was either representational or abstract.

Deadline: June 1, 2014 – Call to Artists, Handmade in America, A Fine Art and Contemporary Craft Exhibition – Tampa, FL

Singing Stone Gallery and Studio is proud to present ‘Handmade in America,’ an exhibition featuring handmade fine art and contemporary craft. This multi-media show exhibits a wide array of the handmade, which is rich in traditions and expressive of regional craft artisans, and their contributions to America’s cultural heritage. The juried exhibit will showcase contemporary jewelry, photography, paintings, glass, fiber, wood, ceramics, metals, and mixed media handcrafted by American artists. The works will be on view during regular business hours from July 4, 2014 to August 31, 2014.

Handmade in America’s opening reception will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. After the event, artists, collectors, family and friends, are able to travel on Tampa’s Heartline Trolley Car System, located steps from the gallery (Stop # 1), to Channelside Bay Plaza for fireworks and live entertainment.

Artists and crafters are invited to submit up to 3 pieces of work for this juried exhibition. All mediums are accepted. Artists may complete the online application, submit photo’s of their work, and describe their handmade art as well as the materials used for the submitted works. Deadline: March 31, 2014 – Queer – Call For Entries

Gender and sexuality is represented differently across the world and throughout various cultures. Each and every day we witness change and the battle for equal human rights continues. Through art we can educate, celebrate and redefine what it means to be queer. Does your art inspire change? What are your positive observations of modern sexuality?

Calls are open to all local, domestic, national and international professional and amateur artists. All art mediums will be considered in this call for submissions, from photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered for the live exhibition. Freestanding 3D artworks will be displayed online only. We are now accepting video and poetry entries for online shows.

Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again in the coming months for a collective live exhibition at our Los Angeles gallery. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition.

Casey Hochhalter, Guest Juror

Casey Hochhalter is a ceramic artist, primarily working in abstract sculpture, while focusing on investigating the interaction of nature’s systems and the immensity of imagination. Hochhalter received his Masters of Fine Arts in ceramics from Illinois State University in Normal and his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Minnesota State University in Mankato. His sculptures have been included in many exhibitions around the United States, as well as publications. Some of these select exhibitions include those at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, San Angelo, Texas and The Clay Studio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well participating in a collaborative project titled “Time Immemorial”, at NCECA 2012, in Seattle, Washington. Recently he completed research supported by the Jerome Ceramic Artist Project Grant awarded by the Northern Clay Center. He currently has artwork on display in a contemporary ceramics exhibition at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota. Hochhalter is also currently the Art Instructor at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota.

– Any artwork that is not picked up after 30 days of the designated pick up date, will be considered abandoned and will then become property of the gallery, and may be disposed of.

– If you are unable to drop off or pick up your artwork on the given dates and times, please contact the Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery, so other arrangements can be made.

Exhibition Information

– The gallery will provide exhibition posters and postcards, along with online promotion through our website and various social media sites.

– The gallery will provide a free opening reception, which will be open to the public. All artists are invited to attend, along with people from the community and elsewhere.

– All artwork that is submitted may be photographed by gallery staff and used for promotion and other purposes online on our website and social media sites.

– The Franklin Arts Center, Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery, and our gallery staff and directors, are not responsible for artwork that is damaged or stolen while the artwork is being shipped, or while the artwork is on display during the exhibition. Our gallery staff will do their best to handle all artwork with care and consideration.

– The Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery staff and director has the authority to hang and/or display the artwork provided in an arrangement that fits the gallery best. Deadline: Jan. 29, 2014 – Application Call – New Artists Feature

Culturehall, a curated digital artist registry, invites artists working in all disciplines to participate in an open call for applications. From the call, four artists will be selected for inclusion in the New Artists Feature – a quarterly publication that highlights each artist’s work through text and images. Features publish to the Culturehall homepage and as a newsletter to a list of 10,000 subscribers.

Artists selected for inclusion in the feature will also receive membership to the Culturehall Registry where they can directly share their work, accomplishments and events with the audience of curators, collectors, gallerists and other arts professionals who visit Culturehall daily.

The New Artists Feature will publish to the Culturehall homepage and by newsletter on March 5th, 2014.

Figurative Art Exhibition Now Online Ready to View

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its June 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online.  The theme for this art exhibition is “Figurative” and artists were asked to submit their best figurative art.  Figurative subjects include human figures, forms and faces.

An art competition was held in May 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 23 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 32 different states.  Overall, there were 592 entries judged for this art competition.

An art competition was held in April 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 22 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 38 different states.  Overall, there were 629 entries judged for this art competition.

An art competition was held in March 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 26 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 39 different states and the US Virgin Islands. Overall, there were 970 entries were judged for this art competition.
