Open Call for Submissions from artists all over the USA for a juried exhibit, Color, in the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) gallery  – an 8,000 sf Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront.   With its trendy restaurants, bars, boutiques and billion dollar view of the Statue of Liberty and New YorkHarbor, it’s an exciting place to visit and EXHIBIT.  The enormous space of the gallery affords us the opportunity to exhibit really huge work, and we welcome it.

About The Juror
Lauren Hinkson is the Assistant Curator for Collections at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York. She conducts permanent collection research with a focus on contemporary and time-based art. She also works closely with the museum’s acquisition committees and organizes presentations of works from the Guggenheim collection for venues worldwide.

$3000 in Cash Awards
CERTIFICATE of RECOGNITION:  $1000   $100 each for ten winners.

ELIGIBILITY: This call for submission is open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories, 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in all traditional and non-traditional 2D and 3D media, including film/video when part of an installation. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution.

SUBMISSIONS AND FEES: Only original works may be submitted.  The Early Bird discounted fee is $45 if received by midnight, May  19, 2014 PST.  The regular fee is $65. The fee is for up to three (3) images, plus $5 for each additional image. All entries must be registered/received by midnight, June 2, 2014 PST.   All entry fees are non-refundable.

This national exhibition will be a showcase of roots, where one has come from and how that specific place has shaped their life as an artist. The exhibition will be held at Middle Tennessee State University’s Todd Art Gallery from May 12 – May 29, 2014.

The show is open to all years of undergraduate students in art schools and seeks to showcase a variety of talent in different regions of the United States. Any art form is accepted for consideration and all interpretations of the theme will be considered.

Deadline: May 2, 2014 – Dalton Gallery 2015 Exhibitions | Call to Artists | Rock Hill, SC

The Arts Council of York County is accepting applications for gallery exhibitions in the Dalton Gallery at the Center for the Arts. The Dalton Gallery, a professional gallery appropriated for the exhibition of experienced artists and community projects, is a 1,800-square-foot space, illuminated by adjustable track lighting.

To be considered for our 2015 gallery exhibitions, please submit the following:

  • $20 application fee
  • 10 hi-res jpeg images submitted on CD or DVD (Mac or PC formatted discs)
  • Inventory lists with titles, sizes, & mediums
  • Artist Resume
  • Written proposal for exhibition &/or artist statement

All entries must be submitted no later than Friday, May 2, 2014.
Artists may submit work as a group or individually. Notification of acceptance will be provided via e-mail. Submission packets will not be returned. Incomplete proposals & proposals that do not adhere to the Arts Council’s submissions guidelines will not be considered. Works that sell while on exhibit at the Center for the Arts are subject to a 40% commission fee by the Arts Council of York County.

3rd Annual Open Art Exhibition Now Online and Ready to View

The Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its November 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online.  An art competition was held in September and October 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition.

The gallery did not have a theme for the art competition which was used to determine the participants to this exhibition.  2D artists who applied were allowed to select their own subject matter.

The gallery received submissions from 24 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 36 different states and the District of Columbia. Overall, there were 673 entries that were judged for this art competition.

Congratulations to the artists who have been designated as this month’s category winners, along with the winning Special Merit and Special Recognition artists.   The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity, as this online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.

MTSU Todd Art Gallery

A juried competition and exhibition that will feature 3-D work designed to fit within the confines of a typical shoebox, with each applicant free to use a shoebox of choice, from baby-size shoes to boots, as the dimensions of their work.

The juror is Michael Aurbach, a professor of art in sculpture and drawing at Vanderbilt University. His achievements include a term as president of the College Art Association (CAA) and service as coordinator of its Career Development Workshop, an annual mentoring program. A past recipient of the Southeastern College Art Conference Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement, Aurbach has also received numerous grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Southern Arts Federation, and the Tennessee Arts Commission.

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen Returns to Wilmington

The Todd Art Gallery of Middle Tennessee State University invites artists from across the United States to submit their artwork (2D and/or 3D) for consideration in our 4th 12×12: A NATIONAL EXHIBITION OF SMALL SCALE WORKS OF ART. Cash awards for University Provost’s Award (Best of Show); College of Liberal Arts Award (1st); Department of Art Award (2nd); Award of Excellence (3rd); and up to five Awards of Merit (Honorable Mention) to be announced January 22, 2013 at a reception for donors to MTSUArts’ Patron Society and a subsequent public Artists Reception that will follow.
Each artist is invited to submit up to 3 pieces.
