Art Call:  “Drawing” $7,600 in cash and marketing prizes
Deadline: September 14, 2015 (Midnight EST)
This international competition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older expressing themselves in any drawing medium.
Theme: “Drawing” – Whether the work is in black and white or color, created as classical or experimental this call is all about drawing. Drawing is the original art and language of man and continues to allow us to communicate what we see and feel. A drawing can be formal and refined or expressive and energetic; can even capture our thoughts with doodling. Marks, lines or shaded areas express our external world and our individual thoughts. It is a record of who we are as humans and our need to connect with each other.
Eligible Work: This Art Call is for drawing only, the work can be in any drawing medium for example: pencil, digital art, pastel, charcoal, scratchboard, or even experimental mediums. The work can be in black and white or color of any subject from representational to non-representational expression.

The competition is open to all artists/photographers 18 years of age or older creating two-dimensional images in any painting, drawing, mixed media, photography or digital medium.

Theme: The image should intrigue and fascinate the viewer with the artist’s vision and interpretation of the animal’s beauty, elegance, strength, speed, delicateness, size, and or its environment. The work can reflect on creatures of the land, sea and air from the simplicity of a domesticated pet to a ferocious wild animal. The works depiction can range from the love one feels for a pet, the amazing diversity of life on the planet and the concern for preserving all creatures from extinction.


  • 1  Place = $500 cash, and extensive marketing of the                                      artist/photographer valued at $5,200 in prizes
  • 2 Place = $125 cash, marketing of the artist/photographer
    valued at $1,625 in prizes
  • 3 Place = $75 cash
  • 4 Place = $50 cashThe 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winner’s art will be featured in “Winners Showcase” with links to their websites.The 10 Honorable Mentions artists and their artworks will also be displayed in the “Honorable Mentions” section of the Art Competition website.

Deadline: July 1 – Call For Entries: Nature Speaks

What can nature tell us? For centuries – if not millennia- Human Beings have found ways to relate to nature, to derive meaning from our interaction between the elements, flora, and fauna- be it simply capturing a beautiful scene with the local animals or creating a meaningful and fable-like composition.  For this exhibition, we want your unique take on the classic theme of nature.

All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for entries from photography to wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered. Video submissions will be displayed online only.

Deadline: July 1, 2013.

Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again for a collective live exhibition at our Pasadena Gallery. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the live collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition.
