The Chelsea International Photography Competition — Opens July 18, 2017

 

Photographers at both the amateur and professional level are invited to enter the Chelsea International Photography Competition. With a fierce dedication to promoting the arts and discovering and exposing new talent, the CIPC will honor selected artists with an exhibition at Agora Gallery, providing invaluable exposure to promote career growth and boost recognition.

 

This year’s competition awards are valued at over $55,000 and are designed specifically to support our larger mission: to promote the spread of extraordinary and innovative art in our modern world and to ensure the future productivity and enhance the careers of selected artists. Selected photographers will participate in the collective exhibition and receive valuable PR opportunities. A portion of the gallery’s proceeds from artwork sales will be donated to the Children’s Heart Foundation.

 

The 2017 Chelsea International Photography Competition will be accepting entries July 18 – September 13, 2017. Results are announced on October 24, 2017, with the competition exhibition scheduled for January 27 – February 7, 2018.

Black & White is a form of visual representation that does not use color. Black and white images are not usually starkly contrasted. They combine black and white in a continuum producing a range of shades of gray. Black & White is an attitude, a way of looking at life from one extreme to the other, a very rigid approach to life and situations. Somewhere between the two is more peaceful and forgiving within the world around you. Whether it be in the arts, situation or attitude, not everything is Black & White, shades of gray is where more things appear. Artists are invited to submit work that explores their ideas of Black & White!

Embracing Our Differences is accepting submissions for its 11th annual outdoor art exhibit celebrating diversity to be displayed during April – May 2014 in Sarasota, FL USA.

Submissions must be postmarked no later than January 6, 2014.

National and international submissions are encouraged. 39 artists will be selected for the exhibit. Since 2004, the exhibit has been viewed by more than 1,600,000 visitors. Final selections will be made by a 3-judge panel of art professionals. A total of $3,000 (US) in awards will be presented.

Deadline: March 31 – UncommonGoods Hosts National Open Call in Art Contest

March 15, 2013 (Brooklyn, NY) – UncommonGoods, an online retailer that specializes in handmade, eco- friendly and uniquely designed gifts and accessories, has just launched their Art Contest, a call for entries of 2D digital captures including watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, collages, digital art and more.
