Is an Open Competition in the Southwest for artists worldwide.

Entries: Can be in any medium including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, graphics and if not listed that too! There are no size restrictions.

Prizes

1st Prize: 10-day Solo Exhibition at 45 Park Lane, Mayfair, London, W1K 1PN including an overnight stay for two at 45 Park Lane and an opening night reception/private view with invited press.

2nd Prize: £ 1000:00

3rd Prize: £ 500:00

People’s Choice Award: £ 250:00 (to be awarded at the end of the exhibition)

Entry Information

Up to 3 works may be submitted.
Entry fee is £15 per work
(£12 for current students).

Work will be subject to selection and the judges’ decision will be final.
You will receive notification by 15th September 2014 by email if your work is rejected.
Selected works must be delivered on: Friday 3rd October 2014

Work may fall into the category of ‘selected but not hung’, as the final hanging will be up to the curators.

All work accepted will be seen and assessed by the judges, even if in the above category.

Selected work will be on display until the end of the exhibition.
Art Works will need to be removed at the end of the exhibition. from the Wells Museum between 27th-28th October 2014 by 3.30pm.

The Judging Process:
All works will initially be viewed anonymously online by Prof. Anita Taylor (Founder of the Jerwood Prize), Donald Smith (45 Park Lane Artist) and Prof. Richard Wentworth CBE (Senior Research Professor RCA).

The resulting shortlist is then reviewed by the 45 Park Lane Artists who may revisit all the submissions.100 artworks will be selected for the exhibition. The prizes are agreed after the selected works have been curatored.

Deadline: July 21 – InLight Richmond proposal deadline extended! | Richmond, VA

Proposals should involve, be inspired by, investigate, or interpret themes of light, from light as medium to light as concept. Additionally,1708 Gallery encourages artists to propose projects that respond to/interact with the site, considering the historic significance of the Canal, Shockoe Bottom and Shockoe Slip.

In addition to technical and production support, an honorarium of $300 will be given to each project. All projects are also eligible for the Best in Show award ($1500), the Most Environmentally Conscious award ($1000) and the People’s Choice award ($500).

The deadline for proposals has been extended to 11:59 p.m. (EST), July 21!

1708 Gallery, a non-profit space for new art in Richmond, VA, invites artists working in all media and disciplines, including performance, to submit proposals for InLight Richmond 2013, the 6th annual one-night, public exhibition of light-based art and performance. InLight Richmond 2013 will take place on Friday, November 8 along Richmond’s Riverfront Canal Walk. The juror for InLight Richmond 2013 is Ken Farmer, Creative Director of Nuit Blanche New York .
