Deadline: Aug. 27, 2017 – Call for Artists – “Skies” Art Competition

Fusion Art is accepting submissions for the Skies international online art exhibition.

For this competition, artists are encouraged to submit their best art and photography depicting the sky. The sky is everything that lies above the surface of the Earth, including the atmosphere and outer space. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit.

Fusion Art will host the exhibition on its website during the month of September 2017.

The gallery will award cash prizes in two categories – “Traditional” Art and “Digital Art & Photography”. Best in Show winners will receive invitations to participate in Fusion Art’s group exhibition in Palm Springs, CA in November 2017.
The deadline to apply is August 27, 2017.

Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed solo and group art competitions and exhibitions. Both winners and finalists receive worldwide exposure, by having their work promoted through Fusion Art’s website, in hundreds of press release announcements, email marketing, online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s social media outlets. The gallery’s objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions and experiences.

Artists who are interested in submitting their artwork for consideration should visit Fusion Art’s website for full competition guidelines: http://fusionartps.com/skies-art-competition-september-2017/.

Call For Submissions: Line Drawings for The Common

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: THE COMMON ISSUE NO. 04 FALL 2012

For the Fall 2012 edition of The Common, we seek line drawings that, in keeping with the journal’s theme, reflect a particular time or place, real or imagined.
Selected material will be published in the print journal and may also appear online (thecommononline.org). In addition, there is a possibility of including selected work in a New York City gallery show in the spring of 2013. One artist
per print edition will be selected to receive a small honorarium.
The Common is a literary journal published in print semiannually from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and updated weekly at thecommononline.org. The printed journal is for sale in retail stores and by subscription.
