Gallery25N’s Online Exhibition, www.gallery25n.com

In accordance with this shows theme “Pure Abstraction”– artists have been selected whose language for creating art is pure abstraction with little to no depiction of the real world (as in nonrepresentational). This work relies on form, color and line to create an abstract work of art with little or no reference to the external world. This selection of work provides the viewer with a clear lineage to the Abstract Expressionism in post-World War II America. These works present the artist’s vision in uniquely personalized languages.

G25N (Gallery 25N) is happy to have worked with Art-competition.net to curate this powerful exhibit of contemporary artists’ work. Our mission is to help promote artists and their art to a worldwide audience. Our audience has developed over the past twelve years and is composed of art buyers, collectors, architects, commercial developers, interior designers, curators and other galleries.

For further information about the exhibit, selection process or artist please call (845) 765-2932, Info@gallery25N.com or visit the gallery’s website at www.gallery25N.com.

The Franklin Arts Center Resident Artists Gallery presents our August exhibition titled, “The Magic Lantern”. A photography and video exhibition that focuses mainly on experimental practices. We are seeking artwork that is not your everyday traditional imagery, but instead that of the unexpected, experimental, out of the box, and unknown, all referring to both the imagery itself, and the process of capturing/creating the piece. Maybe it is a double exposure, or one that has been overexposed, something that just didn’t turn out right, but still has a very interesting look to it, or you were experimenting with movement or how a setting can change from one day to another. Deadline: Dec. 16 – Foresaken Nature – Call for Entries

For this call we are looking for you to interpret what forsaken nature means to you. It could be the opposite of thriving; the decaying state of our natural surroundings. It could be a desolate landscape, an area plagued by the inability to change or perhaps a once thriving area reclaimed by nature.

What does nature’s beauty look like after it has peaked? Interpret this versatile theme and submit your best!

Adapt or perish, now as ever, is nature’s inexorable imperative.
-H.G Wells

All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for submissions, from photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered for the live exhibition. Freestanding 3D artworks will be displayed online only. We are now accepting video and poetry entries for both live and online shows.

Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again for a collective live exhibition at our Pasadena Gallery. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the collective exhibition, which is not a requirement to being a part of the online exhibition.
