Spring Blooms with Color, Culture, and Art in NYC

Travel around the world in twenty-two days with three international art exhibits this April at Agora Gallery. With East Meets West: An Exhibition of Fine Art from Asia, artists from across the globe travel to New York to share their unique perspectives of the Asian contemporary art world. Featuring artists from China, Japan, and South Korea, East Meets West brings new life to the New York art scene. Showing alongside is The Pulse of Abstraction which focuses on global contemporary artists who push the boundaries of abstract art. Featuring works in many media, this exhibition reveals the great variety of what it means to be abstract. Sensorial Perspectives, a show of Agora Gallery artists who work in the overly real, emphasizes texture, depth and the senses in an extraordinary immersive experience. The exhibition invites viewers in and brings them to a new world, where reality and imagination meet and co-exist.

A Must-See Examination of Humanity: Collective Exhibitions at Agora Gallery – NYC

The dynamism of the world around us comes to the forefront at Agora Gallery this March in two collective exhibitions. The show The Essence of Abstraction examines the nature of human understanding, stripping away the representational to get at the core emotions and concepts of a subject. This group of international artists comes together to create a show of personal interpretations of abstraction. The exhibit Mélange of Milieu takes the opposite approach. Focused on the world around them, this group of artists has devoted themselves to the details of the everyday, representing them from the realistic to the surreal. These intricate and interesting works are sure to make the viewer reexamine the outside world. Together, the shows play off each other: the representational versus the abstract, the internal versus external. This pair of shows is a must-see examination of humanity.
The exhibitions open on March 6th and run until March 26th, 2015. The opening reception, which will take place on Thursday, March 12th from 6-8 PM, will be open to the public.

Beauty of Color, Line and Form at Agora this October – NYC

As summer’s heat subsides and the warm smells of pumpkin and spice break through the cool, crisp air, Agora Gallery opens its doors to new exhibitions of exceptional note. This October, you’ll find a refreshing and diverse selection of work by talented artists from all over the globe. In Beyond Borders: an Exhibition of Fine Art From Canada, contemporary Canadian artists demonstrate their skill as focused through the natural majesties of their country and its cultural influence. Divergent Realities brings forth the work of artists whose close observation of the world acts as a catalyst for the impulses of their own interpretation. In Modalities of Expression the audience is introduced to the richly varied ways in which artists choose to give form to their inner visions and ideas, and the beguiling charm that these forms possess. George Tsatsos: EU-TOPIAS presents the work of a lifelong artist who only recently began to share his creations with others. An explosion of color, geometry, and detail, his paintings allude to greats like Escher and Haring just as much as they forge their own chapter in art history.

Works of Elegance and Energy at Agora Gallery – NYC

This summer, Agora Gallery will unveil fresh and memorable shows to all art-lovers who may need that extra incentive go gallery-hopping in the infamous NYC heat. Come in to cool down, enjoy glass of seltzer, and peruse our diverse and international collections. Guests may find themselves completely transformed, if not simply gratefully refreshed!

The exhibition Cadences of Color reminds the viewer that there is always more going on in a work of art than what first meets the eye. Through judicious use of hue and shape, these images encourage us to approach them with an open mind and to revel in the freedom they emanate. In Sensorial Sensibilities artists explore the complexities and singularities of their own lives and the world around them, utilizing their artistic ingenuity to incorporate that awareness to their work. The results are layered, immersive, and full of potent emotional resonance. In The French Perspective: Contemporary Art from France you will find the diversity of style, color and medium that characterizes French art today. However, the exhibit is given a coherence and clarity by the consistent and thorough marriage of detail with spontaneity, so that every element of every piece works together to form a dazzling whole.

The exhibitions begin on July 5, 2014 and continue until July 25, 2014, with an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, July 10. Entrance is free, and all those with a love for art are warmly encouraged to attend

A Summer of Inspiration at Agora Gallery – New York City

The weather is heating up, and so is the atmosphere at Agora Gallery as we present art that has the ability to inspire and energize.

The French Perspective: Contemporary Art from France features artworks that seem to have a life of their own, infused as they are with the passion and power of the artists who created them. Delightfully poised between the simplicity of frankness and the complexity of a conscious awareness of the world, the works speak in a language that is both compelling and persuasive. In Pathway to Abstraction, artists glory in the wonder of life and their own comprehension of it, passing on a message of optimism and understanding to us through their work. These works will capture your attention and enthrall your emotions, bringing you in to become an active interpreter of what you see. Sensorial Realms introduces us to a sense of mystery that seems to infect and enliven the banal and the everyday. The essence of creativity animates every aspect of the works, though each artist has allowed impulse and their artistic process to guide them in different ways and to produce a mood and atmosphere unique to them and their work.

It is famous for showcasing a spectacular array of talented artists from around the world and around the corner, while providing quality and original art to collectors. Exhibitions are usually group exhibits, presenting the work of a number of artists, but sometimes solo exhibitions focus on the work of one particular artist. The gallery publishes ARTisSpectrum Magazine, a bi-annual magazine that is distributed to museums, galleries, art institutions and art schools around the world. It provides artists, collectors, museums, galleries, art organizations and enthusiasts with access to the work of international talented artists as well as feature articles, reviews and interviews. Agora Gallery is the proud sponsor of ARTmine, one of the most comprehensive resources available worldwide to view and purchase fine art. The gallery also runs Agora Art Blog, a blog designed to provide helpful information and advice for artists while providing a forum for artists to help one another by sharing their experiences and thoughts.
