Deadline: Sept. 21, 2016 – Call To Arizona Artists: “Home for the Holidays” – Herberger Gallery@Arizona Center exhibit

Arizona artists are invited to submit up to six works of art for consideration in “Home for the Holidays,” a 2-D artwork exhibit for display at the new Herberger Gallery@Arizona Center (455 N. Third St, Suite 1200 in Phoenix), November 18 – January 16. Guest curators are Connie and A O Tucker. Artists must be 18 and older.

 Artists are selected to display and sell their work through a blind jurying process, based on relevancy to the noted theme, originality and quality of execution. The Herberger Theater, a 501(c)(3) Arizona non-profit organization, receives a 30% donation from all artwork purchased.

Deadline: Feb. 9, 2014 – Call for Art – Juried Exhibition – Massachusetts

Call for Art, Gallery 263, Cambridge, MA

Eligibility: Massachusetts Residents.  Submitted work must be created within the last 5 years and complete.

Exhibition Dates: March 20-April 12, 2014

Guest Juror: Dina Deitsch, Contemporary Curator of the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum

You locals have been celebrating Gallery 263 for the past five years. For our second juried exhibition of our fifth year, we want to take a chance to celebrate you, Massachusetts! MA residents, we invite you to submit your best work.

Submission: Online submissions only. Artists may submit up to 6 works. Work in all media is encouraged.

2D (painting, drawing, photography, etc.): May not exceed 60″ in width, 108″ in             height (40 lbs. max).

3D (sculpture, installation): MUST be self-supportive or mountable; may not exceed 108″H x 30″W x 30″D. Installations must be simple to assemble or installed by artist.

Time Media (video, audio): No length restrictions. To submit, provide link(s) to stream or send DVD with files to Gallery 263, 263 Pearl Street, Cambridge, MA 02139. Note: All A/V equipment must be provided by the artist. Please see FAQ for restrictions.

Guest Juror for Massachusetts at Gallery 263, Dina Deitsch, is currently the Curator of Contemporary Art at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, in Lincoln, MA, where she specializes in American and European contemporary art.  Deitsch organized the deCordova’s first-ever regional Biennial in 2010, and has hosted successful Biennials in the years since.  Additionally, Deitsch has organized numerous solo-exhibitions as well as large-scale group exhibitions, most recently addressing the themes of architecture and performance.  Prior to working at the deCordova, she held curatorial positions at the Williams College Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.  Deitsch has independently curated for the Boston Center for the Arts, Boston, MA, The Bernard Museum of Judaica, New York, and Art Interactive, Cambridge, MA, and served as the guest juror for the 2012 Northeast Issue of New American Painting.
