Eligible Artists: Artists 18 years or older currently residing in the United States.

Eligible Prints: Ann Street Gallery invites all North American artists to participate in Bon Marche affordable printmaking exhibition. All works must be for sale and priced under $200.00. Prints utilizing traditional, hand-pulled media, including hybrid works combining hand-pulled techniques with new media forms. Prints must be unframed and can be of any size. All prints must have a label with: artist name, title, media and price. Work must arrive exhibition ready. Mediums such as woodcut, intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, etchings, monoprints, collographs and photopolymer prints are eligible. 3D Prints and prints that push beyond the conventional boundaries, employing alternative display methods, will be considered.

Delivery and Return of Accepted Work: Artists are responsible for covering shipping costs to and from the Gallery. Artist must supply return shipping label from UPS or FedEx with submitted work. Works must be shipped in reusable containers that will be used for returning artworks. Prints do not have to be framed and otherwise ready to display. Work also may be hand-delivered on dates specified.

Insurance: Accepted work will be insured while on exhibit, but the Gallery will not be liable for damage or loss in transit.

Sales: All prints must be listed for sale. The gallery retains a sales commission for sold works, which is used to support gallery programming.

Conditions: Works cannot be removed from exhibition prior to exhibition closing date. Any work requiring an intricate and unusual installation will require the artist to be present to install the work him/herself. The Gallery reserves the right to refuse any works for misrepresentation or improper packaging. Accepted work must be received by Gallery by specified deadline to ensure inclusion in exhibition. By entering the exhibition, artist grants consent for the use of submitted images to be reproduced for publicity and educational purposes.

Deadline: March 27, 2017 – Call for Artists – “Mythology”

This group exhibition will focus on mythology and how myths help us transcend and navigate the overlaps our collective worlds. We are looking for works that explore how myths inform our understanding of constructed belief systems and help us navigate them while serving as a vehicle of primal human expression.

Topics can draw on resources from myths, legends, folklore, cult, witchcraft, religion, sci-fi, the occult or themes that include motifs of ritual, religion and mysticism.

Open to sculpture, fiber arts, paintings, drawings, ceramics, site-specific installations, mixed media, photography and printmaking.

Deadline: Feb. 20, 2016 – Call For Artists – Comic Art: Fantasy and Imagination

Ann Street Gallery is currently accepting submissions for comic art inspired work from artists in all medium for a curated group exhibition. The focus of the exhibition is to provide a survey of artwork and opportunity to explore the world of comic art, as well as, its influences on all artistic mediums.

We are interested in all contemporary artworks that include: drawing, illustration, painting, ceramics, silk-screens, models, sculpture, fabric arts, and graphic novels inspired by comics. There is no submission fee.

Open to all media.

Ann Street Gallery is currently accepting submissions for science inspired artwork from artist-scientists and scientist-artists in all medium for a curated group exhibition. The focus of the exhibition is to provide an opportunity to explore similarities and the intersections between art and science, while also creating a dialogue where artists, scientists, and the public can communicate and learn from one another. We are interested in contemporary artworks that blur the boundaries between the two disciplines and those that result in a fusion of art and science together. There is no submission fee.

Open to all media.

Eligibility: Open to all artists living in the U.S. and territories. All media will be considered. You are Here will be a group exhibition that investigates how artists use cartography in creative ways and their interpretations of the function and meaning of maps we make and use in contemporary life.  Works can range from literal to highly abstract concepts; maps can be an individual response to the way artists experience and interpret the places through a process of exploration, documentation, and creation informed by cartography. We are looking for a wide variety of media, from illustration, paintings to sculpture, textiles and fiber arts, digital technology and video presentations to performances. Maps may reflect political, social, economic, religious, and historical subject matter or events.

Deadline: April 25, 2014 – CALL FOR ART – Experiencing War

 Experiencing War Exhibition

Exhibit Dates: May-June 2014
Submission Deadline to Enter: April 25, 2014 5pm.
Eligibility: Open to all artists living in the U.S. and territories ages 18+. All media will be considered.

This exhibition will focus on bringing together multiple perspectives on representations of war in visual culture, while examining whose viewpoint is represented and how politicized or personal is an image of war. Topics can include responses to contemporary conflicts, trauma, perspectives of soldier-artists, women and war, memory, sense and space of war, propaganda, commemoration, built environments, battlefield imagery, home front, colonial encounters, print culture of WWI and WWII, and artist as witness.
