The Department of Art at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) invites artists interested in exhibiting in its Todd Art Gallery to complete and submit the form located at: http://goo.gl/mBmUyE.

Open to all media artists may alternatively send a current CV, artist statement, description of the proposed exhibition and a cd containing 10 images of recent work (jpeg format not to exceed 1MB per any image or appropriate media for time-based work) to:

The Gallery Committee meets twice a year to review exhibition proposals and  artists will be contacted when additional information is needed.

This national exhibition will be a showcase of roots, where one has come from and how that specific place has shaped their life as an artist. The exhibition will be held at Middle Tennessee State University’s Todd Art Gallery from May 12 – May 29, 2014.

The show is open to all years of undergraduate students in art schools and seeks to showcase a variety of talent in different regions of the United States. Any art form is accepted for consideration and all interpretations of the theme will be considered.

SHOEBOX: AN INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
January 16–February 14, 2014
Todd Art Gallery

A juried competition and exhibition that will feature 3-D work designed to fit within the confines of a typical shoebox, with each applicant free to use a shoebox of choice, from baby-size shoes to boots, as the dimensions of their work.
The juror is Michael Aurbach, a professor of art in sculpture and drawing at Vanderbilt University. His achievements include a term as president of the College Art Association (CAA) and service as coordinator of its Career Development Workshop, an annual mentoring program. A past recipient of the Southeastern College Art Conference Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement, Aurbach has also received numerous grants and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Southern Arts Federation, and the Tennessee Arts Commission.

12×12: A National Exhibition of Small Scale Works of Art

The Todd Art Gallery of Middle Tennessee State University invites artists from across the United States to submit their artwork (2D and/or 3D) for consideration in our 4th 12×12: A NATIONAL EXHIBITION OF SMALL SCALE WORKS OF ART. Cash awards for University Provost’s Award (Best of Show); College of Liberal Arts Award (1st); Department of Art Award (2nd); Award of Excellence (3rd); and up to five Awards of Merit (Honorable Mention) to be announced January 22, 2013 at a reception for donors to MTSUArts’ Patron Society and a subsequent public Artists Reception that will follow.
Each artist is invited to submit up to 3 pieces.
Entry fee $30 through November 12; $40 through December 3, 2012
Final artwork drop-off date January 7, 2013
