Artists Use Caution – Jolie Donnelly Scam

Someone using the name Jolie Donnelly (email: joliedonnelly4u@gmail.com) contacted an Art Buzz artist about purchasing a couple paintings. This Donnelly person, or whatever their name is, is a scammer.

Here is the contact info they gave us which I’m sure is made up too:
Jolie Donnelly
Hirtenstr. 16 80335
Munich, Germany
You send me a text to my us number (978) 656-1328

You can tell a scammer by offering them a substantial discount if they pay with cash but they will insist on paying by check therefore paying much more – that is an ultra red flag. How many people do you know that would rather pay a few hundred dollars more for something when they can get the very same thing for hundreds less? Think about it.
Spread the word.

Artists use caution: vanity gallery

AMSTERDAM WHITNEY GALLERY in NYC received our book, Art Buzz, The 2014 Collection, and much to out dismay, we have been alerted that they are a vanity gallery. We have heard that several of the artists in the 2014 Art Buzz Collection have been contacted by this NYC gallery. Unless you want to pay over $2,000 to be represented by this gallery, we do not recommend galleries that charge fees other than the standard commission rates. You can make your own decision but you have been informed. Sorry for the not-so-good news.

Creative Regards,
Your Friends at Art Buzz
