To qualify for the lower entry fees any student, age 18+ who enters the gallery’s art competitions must have an .EDU extension for their email address submission account.

John R. Math, Gallery Director explains the reason for this benefit for art students, “We understand that most art students have limited funds and we hope that by offering the lower entry fees that this will encourage more art students to enter our competitions.”

Math continues, “The gallery has set the student entry fees at $10.00 for up to 2 entries and $20.00 for up to 5 entries.  The lower entry fee equals a savings of 33% and 25% respectively over the gallery’s regular entry fees.  The lower entry fees should make it easier and more affordable for art students to enter and participate in our online art competitions.  The gallery will be making the new art student entry fees effectively immediately with the gallery’s 7th Annual “All Women” Online Art Competition.”

Metamorphosis: Oppositions and Evolutions – NYC

Bus Stop

Agora Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Metamorphosis: Oppositions and Evolutions, a group exhibition featuring the works of Osvaldo Bacman, Ed Belbruno, Laura Colantonio, Josep Francés Anaya, Andrew Glass, Monika Gloviczki, Donato Grima, Theresia Innerhofer, Martin Randall Joyce, John Kingerlee, Malvisi, Vicente Marzal, Koki Morimoto, Eduardo Ojeda, Z. Michael Schmidt,Irene Shcherbakova, Eunhyue Shin, and Dave Weindorf.

The eighteen artists featured present dynamic and often opposing points of view in their diverse bodies of work. Ancient and modern, bodily and geometric, unknown and earthly—the widely varying works in this exhibition propose a series of thoughtful contrasts. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, Metamorphosis employs a multiplicity of visual languages in an attempt to blur boundaries and realize the virtue of manifold perspectives.  Via these powerful juxtapositions, the artists featured conjure possibilities for harmony despite difference. The result is a site of mutual transformation, in which disparate artists are united by their variance.

Metamorphosis will open November 11th with an opening reception November 16, from 6-8 PM, and will remain on view until December 2, 2017.
